Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Iron-chat ("Iron-chat", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Iron-chat app and service. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using Iron-chat, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Iron-chat. If the country you live in sets a higher minimum age for consenting to online services (for example 16 in parts of the EU), you must meet that age, or have your parent's or guardian's consent. By using Iron-chat you confirm that you meet these requirements. Iron-chat is not intended for children below the minimum age.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure, and for all activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep it up to date.
- You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, impersonate others, or create accounts to evade a ban.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. What Iron-chat is
Iron-chat is a simple messaging service that lets you chat one-to-one, in groups, and in channels (groups where only the people the owner hands the microphone to may post), and send text, photos, videos, and stickers you make yourself. A group can be made public, in which case it can be found by other users and joined through its link. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may interrupt, limit, suspend, or discontinue Iron-chat or any part of it. Where a change would significantly affect you, we'll give reasonable notice when we can, though some changes (for example for security or legal reasons) may need to take effect immediately. Some features may be offered as previews or experiments that can change or be removed and are provided "as is". Some features may be offered as paid upgrades (see Section 8).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Iron-chat to create, send, upload, or share content, or to behave, in any of the following ways. This list is not exhaustive:
- Anything illegal, or that promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
- Child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors — this results in immediate removal, a permanent ban, and reporting to the authorities;
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or content that incites violence or discrimination;
- Sexually explicit, obscene, or gratuitously violent content sent to others without consent;
- Spam, scams, phishing, malware, or mass unsolicited messaging;
- Content that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- Sharing another person's private or personal information without permission ("doxxing");
- Attempting to hack, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service or other users;
- Evading bans, IP restrictions, quotas, or other safeguards.
5. Your content and our license to operate
You keep ownership of the content you create. To run the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process your content — and, to the extent technically necessary, to make copies of, resize, compress, back up, and generate thumbnails or previews of your media, and to let the providers who help us operate Iron-chat (such as hosting and delivery providers) do the same on our behalf — solely to operate, secure, moderate, improve, and deliver Iron-chat. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep for moderation, safety, or legal reasons as described in the Privacy Policy. We never sell your private content, use it to advertise to you, or display it publicly.
You are solely responsible for the content you send and for having the rights to send it.
Stickers. A sticker you send can be added by anyone who receives it to their own sticker list and sent onward by them. By making a sticker and sending it, you grant those users that use for as long as you keep the sticker — so don't turn anything into a sticker that you would mind seeing passed around, and don't make one out of another person's photo without their agreement.
Feedback. If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you don't have to and we owe you nothing for them — but we are free to use them to improve Iron-chat without restriction or obligation.
6. Objectionable content, reporting, blocking, and moderation
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. To keep Iron-chat safe:
- Filtering & review. We may review, refuse, remove, or restrict any content that violates these Terms, and we use safeguards to limit abuse.
- Automated safety tools. We may use automated tools to detect illegal material (especially child sexual abuse material), spam, and abuse signals in media and reported content. We do not scan your private conversations to profile you or to advertise.
- Reporting. You can report any message or user from inside the app. We review reports and take action — removing content and/or suspending or banning the account — normally within 24 hours of a report.
- Blocking. You can block a user so they can no longer contact you.
- Enforcement. We may warn, freeze, suspend, or permanently ban accounts, delete content, and block IP addresses or ranges, at our discretion, to protect users and comply with the law.
By using Iron-chat you accept that, to keep the service safe and lawful, your content may be reviewed and removed, and that reported and deleted content may be retained as evidence as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Iron-chat infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with a description of the work, where the infringing content is, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized. We will remove infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers.
8. Paid features, advertising, and rewards
Iron-chat may offer optional paid upgrades ("Premium"). Any purchases are made and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms; we do not receive or store your payment details. Subscriptions renew and can be managed or cancelled through your store account. Refunds are handled by the relevant store and according to applicable law. Prices and Premium features may change; changes do not affect purchases already made. Where a free trial is offered it is available once per account, and a trial started through a store becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel it before it ends, as that store's terms describe.
Advertising and rewards. We may show advertising anywhere in the app — including inside one-to-one and group chats and within the message feed (for example, "sponsored messages" placed among other messages) — and including optional "rewarded" ads that let you unlock temporary access to features or Premium perks in exchange for watching them. Advertising may be provided by us or by third-party ad networks and advertisers, whose own terms and privacy policies also apply to your interaction with their ads. Any perks earned from rewarded ads are promotional, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may be changed, limited, or withdrawn at any time. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or of any website or product they link to. How advertising affects your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Third-party services
Iron-chat relies on third-party providers (such as cloud hosting, push notifications, and email delivery) to function. Your use of the app also involves your device platform and app store. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their terms and privacy policies apply to their parts of the experience.
10. Termination
You may stop using Iron-chat and delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Delete account); see the Privacy Policy for what deletion does. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content license for retained evidence, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
Iron-chat is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that messages or media will always be delivered or retained. Media is automatically deleted after its retention period — do not rely on Iron-chat as a backup.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Iron-chat and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, messages, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Iron-chat and its operator from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of a third party.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts, subject to any mandatory local rights you have as a consumer.
15. Apple App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded Iron-chat from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Iron-chat's operator only, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded from Google Play, Google's terms also apply to your download and use. Each store's usage rules apply to the app.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date above and, where appropriate, ask you to accept the updated Terms in the app before you continue using Iron-chat. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
17. General
Additional terms. Some features may come with their own additional terms, which we'll show you for that feature (for example, Premium). Those additional terms are part of these Terms, and if they conflict, the feature-specific terms govern that feature.
Communications. We'll send you the service messages needed to run Iron-chat (security, account, and other important notices). Where you allow it or the law permits, we may also occasionally tell you about new features or offers — you can turn those off at any time without losing service messages.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours — for example if Iron-chat is merged, acquired, or its assets are sold — to a successor or affiliate, as long as your rights under these Terms and the Privacy Policy are honored.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Iron-chat. Severability. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and that part is narrowed to the least extent needed. No waiver. If we don't enforce a rule right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. Events beyond our control. We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
